Mike Monaghan

Mike Monaghan: Yet another photographer I've found on accident (while looking up information about Maja Topcagic, actually). I don't know much about him, so he's sort of my "mystery photographer" so to speak, but I don't mind. His photos say enough.
This is his website, which seems to have more of his images than anywhere else. I suppose he's not as well known as I believe he should be. But that's the case with many artists.

Maja Topcagic

Maja Topcagic is without a doubt one of the best portrait photographers I have seen. They're almost always close up, which gives an incredible intimacy with the person in the photographs. Here is her website which gives a great biography and dozens of pictures to look at. Below are some of my favorites, but I urge you to take a look for yourself.

Miloslav Stibor

Miloslav Stibor is a black and white photographer
who really seems to put an emphasis on form (as most B&W photography does).
He plays around with shutter speed often, which I really enjoy.
Another thing I like in his photos is that they're pretty much all super high
contrast with really dark darks directly next to almost ghostly whites (which is
usually the skin).
